Tutorial for making solid color socks on uniform?

I've seen in multiple places on this forum that you can change the length of the colored part of the sock to make it appear as 1 color (as many teams do these days). However, I haven't found out how to achieve this. Is there a proper tutorial out there? If not, is someone willing to make one?

You need to edit the sock palette in the palette section of the uniform. The first line of the palette is the sock. Usually it ranges from grey to white, you would switch it to your teams color (slightly darker to slightly lighter to get the sock texture)

Which palette do I need to edit, and how do I go about editing it? Is there a tutorial out there? AFAIK, Palettes function differently than normal bitmaps
