Expanding Custom Midfield

Postby Kevin5455 » Sun Nov 29, 2020 1:01 pm

So I got back to playing around with custom teams/rosters again and I was creating new midfields through Paint.Net.

For some teams, the midfield seems to be either too narrow or too small. There is one midfield in particular that I'm trying to make that looks similar to the Bills midfield:

Not the best image, but as you can see, the BIlls logo is properly spread out but not shrunken like my custom logos. Is it possible to make custom midfields that don't shrink/narrow down?

Fieldart.dat file #324 controls the size of a custom teams midfield logo. You have to edit the TMDL file with Stingrays MoRE editor. If you make the midfield logo bigger (20 yards) you can use a 512x512 placeholder and place different size logos in it. A 512x512 placeholder with a 256x256 logo in the center will result in a 10 yard logo between the 45's. The bigger the logo in the center of the placeholder, the bigger the logo on field. You can also edit the TMDL to take up the entire field and then replace your custom teams midfield logo with a full size football field.

There are plenty of midfield sizes you can use. pick6 has a couple, mee also has some and I also have a few midfields in the X mod, NCAA mod and X mod - Base Files mod.

Will it work for custom midfields though? Like the one I made (below)? And doesn't pick6's midfield sizes require texmod?

Customart.dat files use TMFL = 6 which uses a 10 yard TMdl.

I don't know the file number in the fieldart.dat you need to replace but I can get it for you late tonight. You can replace the TMdl with a 20 yard one but keep in mind that all customart.dat teams will also use that bigger TMdl.
