Freddie Kitchens: Next Josh McDaniels?

Postby Kevin5455 » Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:08 pm

Just being honest...not a Browns fan, but Mayfield's performance last game against the Falcons was amazing. Nick Chubb also contributed a lot and Jarvis Landry is getting more reception yards.

Was this just a fluke? Or are the Browns actually turning around and dominating?

Want to hear something funny? The Falcons did what most teams do against the Browns, but never admit to: They didn't take the Browns seriously.

After the game, one of the Atlanta LBs, De'Vondre Campbell, literally stated that. Look here.

Mayfield HAS been performing far better than when the Jackson/Haley duo was there, however. I would call it part improvement, part "Falcons take a day off, goes all kinds of wrong".

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Always have a plan. And a backup plan. And backups to the backup.
And be able to improvise.

It's way too early to say anything like that, but I think it'd be important to realize that Hue Jackson was incredibly incompetent and had zero idea what he was doing. The team is more motivated since he was finally fired, and Baker is no longer limited by the probable worst head coach of all time. But maybe Freddie will turn out to be a good OC, who knows?
