Hello all!
After a longtime in RL wilderness away from Madden utility development, I have brushed off the dusty old code of my old OzWolf, OMTU, and MadWolf apps and have begun the work of producing a new library for people to use in their applications.
I am continuing to flesh out a new Madden 08 API DLL that fronts the trusty old tdbaccess.dll file of old into a hopefully easier API for developers to use in their development. There's plenty of domain work to be done and extended upon, but we have the foundational start for players, teams, cities, draft picks, and stadiums and the patterns to add more items into it.
More specifically, this new library has been uplifted to run on .NET 8.0 on x64 processors (I'm fairly certain the days of 32-bit x86 processors are dead).
The final point is that this project is open source and the source code is now living in perpuaty in GitHub.
If you are an app developer and are interested in using this new library, you can find it at https://github.com/ozwolf-software/madden-08-api with documentation viewable under https://ozwolf-software.github.io/madde ... index.html
Let me know if you have any questions!
New Madden 08 API DLL
Re: New Madden 08 API DLL
Wow, this looks handy! I've always been used to exporting tables using the DB Editor and then working on them with Python, but editing directly in C# (something I've recently learned how to code in) seems like it'd be far more ideal! Maybe I could try porting some things I coded in Python to C#.
