"Just when I thought I was out"....

Postby AaronS » Fri Mar 05, 2021 2:15 pm

Well, found a pretty decent budget gaming rig.

Want to try the PS3 emulator.. the PS3 itself is buggy as h@ll with HEN Madden.

Inevitably, I think I will try 20. Curious what the consensus is, from the diehards that have braved the waters?

What are the specs on your gaming rig and have you tried PCSX2 for PS2 games? My PS2 died and am looking for a decent computer to play my PS2 games as well as older systems.

I went with the mid-level Dell G5.

2.9 i-5 (overclocks at 4.2)
8gb ram out of the box (will upgrade to 16 or 32)
6 GB NVIDIA 1660
256 SSD + HDD

Havent tried any emulators yet. It arrives on Tuesday.

Tearing into the Madden roster files and now.

I got the Dolphin emulator to work and it is pretty good have you tried it? I been thinking about trying to mod some of the dats and see what I can add...

I have a G5 and a G7 and I am happy with both..... I can tell you that My Madden 08 folder pretty much max it out the G5 though while the G7 will hold all versions of Madden.....

Might try Dolphin. Didn't read good things about 12 on RPCS3.

Madden 20 Franchise looked like a cluster. I'm alot less eager to dive in on that after looking under the hood.

PC arrives Tuesday. Couldn't find anything decent in stock locally (at least not in a reasonable price range)

Edit; scratch that, Xenia was the emulator I plan to try (360)

Looks pretty simple to port my iso's. Curious if I can tweak the dat/bin files? I would love to get realistic position requirements, and more versatile subs.

I'm not a fan of the newer Maddens.
You might as well get some emulators and play games that are much more fun.

NCAA Football 14 is a superb game.
Arena Football is fun too, different.
2K5 I don't need to introduce.
2K All Pro Football 2k8 is a masterpiece (PS3/xbox360)
NFL Street is still fun as hell (XBOX, PS2)
