We lost Luke

Postby jose21crisis » Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:09 pm

We lost a guy that's probably Canton bound, Luke Kuechly retired. Damn great platyer he was.

A lot of young guys have been retiring early. First Doug Baldwin, then Gronk, then Andrew Luck, now Luke. Man ...

We've yet to see a QB being as dominant as that future HOFer
And no, not those two. The one I'm talking about already retired ...
We've yet to see a WR being as dominant as that guy that won't make the HOF.

Not even first Doug Baldwin. Remember Chris Borland? Had a really exciting first season, retired the next.

Football is a dangerous sport, and players are finally starting to put their health first. More power to them, I say.

Although I did hear a rumor that Andrew Luck might be coming back... but, just a rumor.

Reminds me of Patrick Willis' retirement, and a bit like Borland, as Revanfan said. Kuechly will be missed.

He will be missed. And I respect his decision to walk away, no matter what reason he gives for walking away! First ballot HOF!

I would have said that about Patrick Willis, but that didn't happen.

The Hall of Fame is going to have to adjust, because people are going to start retiring earlier and earlier as awareness of the dangers of the sport spreads.

Yeah but look at someone like Gale Sayers, he essentially only played 5 seasons and was out due to injuries and got voted in. So personally I dont see why they couldnt do someone like Kuechly.
