The last week has been quite the whirlwind for the Vikings fans - Teddy Bridgewater wrecked his knee in practice and may not be ready to play in 2017. Now they've pulled a desperate maneuver to try and save the season: they've acquired Sam Bradford from the Eagles for a 2017 1st round pick and a 4th rounder in 2018 (conditional on how far the Vikings go in the postseason).
The regular season will start in 8 days and the Eagles traded away their starting QB. So much for Carson Wentz sitting this season - it looks like he might be their week 1 starter if healthy.
Who knows what's going to happen for the Vikings or Eagles this season... any thoughts?

Love the move, Howie is a miracle worker. I think this trade will end up working out well for both teams, more so the Eagles. Bradford is a decent/ok QB and should do just enough to not mess things up too much. All he really has to do is just hand the ball off to AP and not throw game ending picks.
Btw, the Sanchize just signed with Dallas.

For the Vikings? Maybe. They are thinking a little bit long term - they now have a plan at QB in 2017 because Bridgewater may not be fully recovered at that point.
But yes, the Eagles pulled off a heist. It's a terrific long term move for them.

Re: Vikings trade for Sam Bradford
I feel that it is the best thing that could have happened for Philly and Bradford, but it remains to see if he can bolster the ailing pass attack of the Vikes. Can you imagine a good passing attack with AP as your running back? They would have defenses guessing all day. All this is just guess work though, Sam has to pay off first. Did Minnesota give up the bank in order to get him? There again it remains to be seen. Having a 1st round draft choice does not always pay off. Sometimes you can get your best contributors in later rounds. It's all a gamble guys and Sam may have been the best option on the market to get this season back on track. You never know, Teddy's job may be in jeopardy over this injury as well. If Sam does well enough there may be a serious competition thing when Teddy is ready to come back. A year or two can be devastating to a career in this league. One thing is certain, there are no guarantees about how well someone is going to do or for how long. That has been proven time and again.
