If so, what minute quarters should I play with and what should accelerated clock be switched to?

They should still be working all right. Most of the settings are on the OP except for quarters, which should be 12 minutes with 20 sec acc. clock, or 15 minutes with 15 sec acc. clock.

These are my sliders..the last game I played I played Steelers v Patriots. I kept the pressure up the middle on Brady with tight coverage on the WR and TE. By running the 2-4-5 and subbing Watt in the 3-3-5 along in the 3-2-6. Using Watt+ Dupree as DE with Tuitt and Heyward as DTs in the dime and quarter defenses and press coverage took away Brady's passing lanes

Usually, I run my games with:
15 Min Quarters
Acc. Clock
QB Vision Off (But every now and then I use it On, for realism's sake)
Auto-Strafe Off (but I think it doesn't matter)
I would like to know the CPU effects of Offensive Catch Assist and Defensive Pass Assist, but I usually have both On.
Injury Frequency .. depends. When I'm playing a Franchise without a Practice Squad, 102%. With a Practice Squad, 112% (And only so that O-Linemen get hurt). Sim Injury Frequency is 100%.
Camera View is Long when I'm on Defense, Zoom when on Offense. Makes it easier to defend with Long, while Zoom gives me a limited Field of View somewhat similar to the newer Maddens.
Lines is Both.
Player Lock is on, Auto Subs is On. Auto Pass ... I've find some comments on other games about Auto Pass, so I have it On and make sure that I keep control of the QB so that the CPU QB gets the effect of Auto Pass ... whatever that effect is.

As for the scripts:
Updated NFL Rules (At least when I'm playing with the FF/FI Mod)
QB Fumbles
TD Celebrations
TD and First Downs on Front of Line
Accelerated Clock set at 15 (So that the amount of plays lines up, although this MIGHT break the CPU a bit)
Occasionally, More Aggressive CPU on 4th Down (Although I think this makes the AI dumber, and it breaks the AI playcalling in SuperStar)
Occasionally, Peyton Manning Hurry Up (When I'm playing a team that tends to audible a lot or occasionally goes no huddle)

This was by far the most realistic game I have played on Madden 08. Thank you for posting these sliders jose21crisis. Raiders/Broncos rivalry using an updated base roster from 2007. Both QB's didn't play well. I was most concerned about turning the ball over with Russell so i pounded the ball the entire game. Lots of punts and short runs for both teams, excellent back and forth. I won on a last second field goal after a sustained drive. Broncos D was very tired. Felt like the real thing!

I tweeked those sliders..and here is what I got...
I had forced two fumbles inside the opponent's 15 yard line ..which led to a fumble return for a TD and a First and Goal from the 2..which led to a Conner TD.

Injury Frequency .. depends. When I'm playing a Franchise without a Practice Squad, 102%. With a Practice Squad, 112% (And only so that O-Linemen get hurt). Sim Injury Frequency is 100%.
Camera View is Long when I'm on Defense, Zoom when on Offense. Makes it easier to defend with Long, while Zoom gives me a limited Field of View somewhat similar to the newer Maddens.
Lines is Both.
Player Lock is on, Auto Subs is On. Auto Pass ... I've find some comments on other games about Auto Pass, so I have it On and make sure that I keep control of the QB so that the CPU QB gets the effect of Auto Pass ... whatever that effect is.

TD and First Downs on Front of Line
Accelerated Clock set at 15 (So that the amount of plays lines up, although this MIGHT break the CPU a bit)
Occasionally, More Aggressive CPU on 4th Down (Although I think this makes the AI dumber, and it breaks the AI playcalling in SuperStar)
Occasionally, Peyton Manning Hurry Up (When I'm playing a team that tends to audible a lot or occasionally goes no huddle)

Offense Catch Assist - "On offense if you are user controlling a WR for the catch after the ball is thrown, with the offensive catch assist set to 'on", the WR will attempt to catch the pass even if you don't press the 'catch' button when controlling him. If set to off, you MUST press the catch button in order to catch a pass while usering a WR." [thank you very much ycleped]

Defense Pass Assist - "Defensive pass assist affects the same thing, only swatting involved too. If you are controlling a defender when this is on and you don't press swat or catch, the defender you are controlling will still attempt to catch/swat with the help of the CPU. With it off, the defender will do nothing towards the ball unless you manually try to catch or swat." [thank you very much ycleped]

Auto Pass ( for user controlled QB ) - Once you snap the ball the cpu will pass the ball instead of you pressing the button of the WR of your choice according to the Madden 08 Prima Game Guide!
