Yes, that scoring went through the roof and beyond. As did the offensive yards, but what can you do when is the 2 highest powered offenses in the NFL and their defenses decide to take a nap.

I did the settings at '50' on everything..playing with Human v CPU. Human controls started slow but dominated toward the middle of the second quarter and stayed that way till the end of the game. CPU was opposite of the Human AI.

Should I use these sliders for both Human and CPU?

They should work for both CPU vs. CPU games, as well as Human vs. CPU. And yes, for both Human and CPU.

Found another big issue that pretty much ruins the game. During the 1st half, the CPU performs great in most aspects of the game and it is quite competitive. Then, in the 2nd half the CPU (usually, there are exceptions) turns into the 2017 Atlanta Falcons and just collapse horribly. And they only do so offensively. They seem to be unable to score at all and their 3 and out drives skyrocket all the way to the stratosphere. I'm not entirely sure what causes this but I have 2 suspects. First, it could be the Madden AI itself, which could be coded to suddenly suck in the 2nd half. IF this is true, then there is no way to fix that. Or, the second one. Maybe one of Calhoupe's scripts, specifically "More Aggressive CPU in 4th Downs" could be generally F'ing up the CPU in general. It already screws up "Ask Madden" in 4th Down, and it triggers some screwy behavior (The CPU tried to go for it on 4th and 5 on their own 38, yet they don't do the same on the opponent's 39 yard line). I'll try a few games with it turn off and observe the CPU behavior.

you may want to try taking down the KNOCKDOWNS to 35 and TACKLING to 30...seems to be better

Would it be possible to fix the breakaway speed glitch in the game? In the open field wr's and rb's outrun db's every single time almost, even when they're close to each other. Casuing big plays.

I don't think so. I think it isn't a glitch, but rather an intended feature added by EA. Why? I don't know. That's increased by the fact that the defenders tend to take horrid pursuit angles nearly every single time.

Something popped into my mind. I was looking at the slider set armyofone posted on the Madden 19 sliders section. I noticed that the slider set asks for the user to input the data in both the Main Menu, and the Connected Franchise Mode Menu as well. For one, I wonder one is that. For two, I wonder if whatever that does, if it helps, also affects Madden 08. For my next tests (Whicb I don't know when I'll upload because I don't have access to internet as frequently as I want) I'll be inputting the slider set in both the Main Menu and Franchise Mode Menu.

Additionally, I wonder not only why some many slider sets have so high penalty settings, but how negatively they could affect gameplay. I need to get last season's (along with this season's) penalty counts, to see how many penalties occur. Then, I will remove the penalties that aren't present in Madden 08 (Unnecessary Roughness, Holding on the Defense, Illegal Formations, Illegal Shifts, etc) to see how I should adjust the slider sets to truly recreate these penalties without making the penalty sliders negatively affect gameplay

I remember reading RevanFan or NZA's franchise guide and they seem to think so.
