CPU QB

Postby GiantsRose » Sat Aug 04, 2018 3:32 pm

Is there anyway to improve CPU controlled QB decision making? I feel like Pro, All Pro, & All Madden just changes how lucky the CPU gets and not much else. I set QB accuracy to 90. I'll play against say Tom Brady and Alex Smith, they'll both either throw into coverage, not hit the short open pass , rarely throw the ball away, and rarely have ball in the air right before the WR makes his break. Is there anything that can be done about this? I'd find it more enjoyable than just the CPU throwing into coverage and getting the catch anyway because its on All Madden or even All Pro.

Sadly, no. That's one of my biggest problems with this game, and the reason I feel the CPU isn't competitive. They really aren't effective reading the coverages, and think that an open receiver needs about 4 steps of separation. Haven't been able to find a way to make them good with slider adjustments (At least Equal, Balanced sets. Maybe all 50s could work, if you can endure the possible pick fest that would result in), and difficulty adjustments (Namely All-Madden) simply cheat.

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Always have a plan. And a backup plan. And backups to the backup.
And be able to improvise.
