Nfl head coach
Re: Nfl head coach
I got the game to work with the play table from the jinx roster! Simply copying the columns won't do!

I am interested in this file. Is there anyway you can upload a link or the file after you updated it with the roster?

I'd also be interested in this file. If jinx will allow it, could you post it here?
Re: Nfl head coach
This will be my next project once I release the final roster for 2017-2018.

Totally forgot I started this post. I am glad to see it has been so active. I am going to see if I can get my game updated now. Have not tried in awhile.

Re: Nfl head coach
So I am trying this again....
here are my notes for all the steps I took, only problem is it only edits the coach now rosters. Still cannot figure where the career mode rosters are.
Find DB_TEMPLATES.dat in NFL Head Coach Folder
Open DAT File Replacer (DFR5)
Click Open DAT
Choose the DB_TEMPLATES.dat file
Click on File #3
Click EXTRACT copies of SELECTED files from DAT
Extract to Desktop
Rename extension *.db
Open DB EDITOR
Go to File – Open File
Select the new .db file
Click on PLAY Column
Wait for PLAY column to fully load (could take 5+ mins)
Click on CSV – Export CSV (It will export to your documents folder under DB CSV Output)
Edit CSV until hearts content
Delete extra column added at the end (GL) – this row was added during export must be deleted
Save the CSV file
Go back to DB EDITOR - Go to CSV – Import CSV
Now import the edited CSV file back into DB Editor (again could take 5+ mins)
Once loaded – File – Save as – Save it in a different folder using the same name – DB_TEMPLATES.db
Now Reopen DFR5
Open our previous DB_Templates.dat
Click on File #
Click SELECT REPLACEMENT File
Choose the .db file
Then Click REPLACE SELECTED Files with the replacement file
Then click save current DAT
Now back up the original DAT file
Move the new DAT file into your NFL Head Coach Folder
**** Everything works in Coach Now mode, but does not change in career mode****
Last step is to figure out what I need to do to edit the career mode

Re: Nfl head coach
Gonna give those steps a try this weekend or the next depending on how much free time I have. Glad to see that Head Coach hasn't been forgotten.
As for trying to modify the career mode, I think it might be possible but unlikely because how the story is set up around the first draft. But what do I know, haven't given it a shot just yet.
