Saturday Night, Open Wheel, racing on pavement!

Postby KO'BBF » Sun Dec 18, 2016 9:11 pm

(other than Madden :D ) my all time favorite game is rFactor. A racing simulator for the PC that is very open for modding.

I spent a lot of my time making Race Cars for the great mods that Shane Gott creates and puts in game.

There are plenty of mods out there for rFactor to satisfy any fan of any racing genre. I prefer Dirt Track racing, but I sure like the stuff that Shane Gott and the guys at Xtreme Sim Racing have put together that focuses on pavement short track racing.

My favorite rFactor project that I have put together is the Sprint Car World Series. This is for http://www.gottmotorsports.com/ Blackout Sim Race Products Asphalt Super Sprints. Featuring over 300 sprint cars! amongst these 3 skin packs. These are all self-installers and will install into your default rFactor directory.

thank you :)

ummmm.... what's a spoiler tag?

I could just cut some of those out, I got a little carried away. I actually have 56 gigs of rFactor skins saved on my hard drive that I have done in the last bunch of years, but I didn't need to post that many anyway.

Good grief! Currently it is running for $40 over at amazon. Gee, when I bought mine 7 years ago, it only cost me $19.99

Ouch, that's gonna hurt... I might have to wait a while for this one.

Do you think the game would run well on my PC? I'm just using a Dell laptop with 4GB RAM.

I think so. The game was made back in 2006, so anything "newer" should have no problems. You can do all kinds of stuff, like turning shadows off, or fewer frames per second if you have any kind of lags.

I haven't checked ebay, maybe you can find it cheaper over there. There is quite the community for rFactor and online racing leagues are still very active.
