The only real issue that I have come across while changing textures is that the game reuses some textures for multiple teams. For example, Rutgers, Tennessee, Penn State, and any team that wears plain white pants all have the same memory address for their pants. This means that if you were to replace the rutgers pants file, it would automaticly replace all other teams pants that had the same address (all other teams with plain white pants). There is a work around for this, that just involves changing the name of the replacement file of the team whose uniform you do not want to be updated at a specific time. IE If I want to play Rutgers, I need to change the name of Tennessee's pant texture so the game wont try to load it up.
Its really not much trouble though...
