Wow man, impressive. There is also a practice field that looks like a high school stadium... I wonder if you can add sections like you can remove them. I would take the images from an existing stadium or from a custom stadium and add them to the practice field, that is if it can be done.
Once I have more free time I will definitely dive in to modding the stadiums.

Which one of these Practice Stadiums or Practice Fields were you referring to ?
(By the way...Practice Stadiums only have one file each...no dusk or night stadium files like the others).

I tried that by taking the scoreboard from Practice A ( Outdoor Fenced ) and place it at the sideline square logo placeholder at Practice B ( Outdoor City )but I did not like the result. So yes it can be done. Both of my texture images were the same size , color and bit. You will need that when swapping mmap images. If you swap "16 Byte Files" from the GEOM section...I am not sure...have not tried that yet. Hope you get time to try some of this...Just experiment...be creative...always use backup files ...not originals. Good luck and Good Modding!

Re: Updated Stadiums
I was thinking of "B". If it doesnt have dusk or night, we could photoshop the images darker and create two more stadium IDs with dusk and night settings. I'm thinking way ahead here but it looks promising.

"Yeah but we can do this with texmod"
For this example yes, you can accomplish the same effect by changing the midfield graphic and then blank out the endzone one, BUT with editing the dat files these graphics can be moved ANYWHERE. This was just a quick edit. I could have moved this to the 20 yard line for instance
Moving a graphic to a different location isnt possible with texmod. Also graphics eventually can be added, for instance adding a small graphic logo elsewhere on the field, like on the 20 yard line or something.
Just saw this linked on another thread, and an idea hit me: would it be possible to use this technique to make a baseball diamond like the Raiders have, once somebody figures out how to add graphics? Great work StingRay!

I've tried putting STADIUMS.DAT from older games into Madden '08. It broke the game and it crashed.

However, the difficulty in doing so is probably going to exclude everyone except for the most dedicated madden modders from doing so.
Seeing how only a select few were able to do uniform imports into dat files and those are EASY compared to customizing the tmdl files.
That being said, here is a very basic example. Here I moved an endzone graphic to a midfield location. The endzone location was just green grass afterwards.

Hey Sting, would you mind posting the method you used to do this? I want to try something.
