Helmet Template

This is a helmet template that I use to create helmets. It is for Paint.NET.

When you open the template the image will be divided into several layers. Select the "Color" layer, select the color of your helmet and fill in that layer with your color. Goto to the "Put Logo Here" layer and lign up your logo with the white circles. Select any of the "Line Design(x)" layer.

Once you're ready to create your helmet, uncheck the "Background" and the "Logo" layers and save your file as a bmp. If you choose to keep the "Background" layer a double ear hole may appear on the helmets.

I know this is a very old thread, but since it's been downloaded so many times I feel I should mention that I noticed the guide circles aren't the same distance from the center, therefore one side will appear slightly higher than the other. I suggest folks pick either circle and delete it, then duplicate that layer, and flip horizontal. Merge the two layers and both sides will be the same height.

Nice template though! Hopefully this will serve as a "bump" and encourage more folks to use it!

I found the easiest way for me was to use the default helmet bmp files in your madden 08 folder called "custom art" and edit the existing logos by copying one of the helmets and renaming it and changing the color and logo. It works well with created teams.

Well considering no one has posted in this thread in 4 years and the original post is 7 years old, its probably doesn't exist anymore.
