Snow field mod?

Is there a texture mod to make it look like there is snow on the ground?

Not sure how we would go about this, because I tried to make a TPF for this, but the current snowy field is less than impressive. Just looks like the stadium is foggy and the snow flakes just melt on the field on contact. I know with the current mod we only have one field in the mix and can't remember why that is?

I have one for grass and one for turf fields that I put together a while back. I could turn them into a stand alone TPF if anyone is interested? Screenshot below.

Me too, but I would like to know how the game knows whether or not to use the TPF file? If you're in a franchise you don't know if it's going to be a snow game until you're in the game.

If you want to make this a dat mod, the files for the snow fields are
12: Plain Grass
15: Browns
18: Dolphins
21: Raiders
24: Grass SuperBowl
26: Plain Turf
28: Ravens
30: Turf SuperBowl

In Stadata.dat.
So the Giants traded Beckham....

You know, if you ever decided to do TPFs of snowy, wet, or muddy fields, I'd glady include them as a recommended link with the FF Mod.

It would be something like this:

Code: Select all

Snow - Light, Medium, Full (field barely visible)
Mud - Light, Medium, Full (like a tank rolled through)

Do you think we could actually get the weathered fields back?

Yeah, you would have to load it first... but if you are playing in Green Bay in late Nov or Dec it would be pretty realistic to see snow on the ground even if it isn't "snowing" in the game.

I made a snow field for grass and a snow field for turf and also made a "wet" grass field (I didn't do a mud field because, frankly, with today's fields and the sub-air system a lot of them have, you don't really see mud anymore). I'd be happy to upload those for people to use and/or convert to DAT.
