Here are some Pros and Cons.

Pros:
You can load/unload textures without quitting Madden or Calhoupe's scripts.

You can save TPF mods in template files. Eliminates the need to load every TPF file individually.

It loads your TPF files automatically everytime you start Madden.


Cons:
... can't think of any.

I can think of 1 con: setting it up is little bit different and harder.

Have you gotten it setup? I wouldn't say it is harder but it takes getting used to it l.

Here's a good tutorial to set it up. Use method 3 to have uMod load your TPFs when you start Madden. https://code.google.com/archive/p/texmod/wikis/uMod.wiki

The version of uMod that works for me is v2r49. The newer versions did not

They are two completely different programs that accomplish different tasks.

Jgme moves dats to the Madden documents folder and uMod changes the dat textures in the Madden documents folder.
