You ignored steps 6 and 7
mee wrote:6) Highlight the next 4 characters, switch to the hex side and read them (say 00 92 17 00)
7) This is where the LOCA section starts. The byte are in reverse order, but the byte itself is correct. (So it would be 179200)

So in this example the LOCA section begins at 0x04F90 and is 74 bytes long.

What do I do with that highlighted info I uploaded, is it part of LOCA?

The LOCA portion is at the bottom. it has the last 8 rows (if I remember.) Do not delete it or else you'll get that dreaded floating walls near the endzone.

Thank you for the headsup.

I was trying to convert the TPF of Anaheim Stadium from BigDaddyCool's All-Inclusive Mod into a DAT file myself since the pre-renovation Hard Rock Stadium from the original Madden 08 STADIUMS.dat file serves as a template for Anaheim Stadium. However, I find the Hex Editor part of the instructions (in the very first post of this thread) to be very confusing.

Also, for those using Paint.NET or GIMP, how would editing the graphics work differently?

I wish there was a video tutorial for this, so that we could get a visual understanding of how it works.

DEX only takes dds files from PS. Sorry.

Converting stadiums is not easy work, sorry it's confusing. Keep at it! :) :D

What are the settings you need to use when you save dds files?
