I don't want to directly speak on behalf of VirdeeMan, but I know he is busy af this summer. There is a list of bugs/issues that will eventually get addressed this fall or winter. Including re-logging textures for the highest Texture Quality setting.

My M08 mod work is all open-source to anyone who wants to use it in any way, no restrictions or permissions necessary.

VirdeeMan, check out this link. We should be using gamma corrected sRGB colorspace for DirectDraw textures. Also need to convert it the mod to 32-bit depth in the future, default may be causing colorspace, washout, and saturation issues.
