I use the UNIFORMS.dat file provided by the FF/FI XVI Mod, along with rogerjinx' 2016 DB_TEMPLATES.dat file, which is compatible with his most recent rosters, as well as the default roster of the XVI Mod.
If you do not use these files, you may need to adjust the ID #'s, in which you place these files.
- To replace a single Uniform file -
1) Open your UNIFORMS.dat with DAT FILE REPLACER (DFR)
2) Click "ZERO-BASED ARRAYS" - ON
3) Select uniform you would like to import
4) Select the slot number you desire to replace
5) Click REPLACE SELECTED FILES WITH REPLACEMENT FILE
6) SAVE - good to go
- How to locate a specific Uniform's ID# within your UNIFORMS.dat file -
When I post a Uniform File, I will provide a suggested ID# for that file to replace.
These are merely suggestions. If you would like to replace a different uniform, here are some simple steps, to help find the ID# for
a uniform of your choosing.
1) Open your ROSTER or FRANCHISE with NZA Madden Editor. I always use V2, but V1.3 works perfectly fine for this.
2) Go to EDIT > TEAMS > Select desired Team.
3) Click the ART IDs tab. You will see a Table, marked UNIFORMS. Within this Table, a list that reads:
HOME
AWAY
ALTERNATE
ALTERNATE
ALTERNATE..etc, etc...
To the right of this list, you will see;
UNIFORM ID
ORDER
Highlight a uniform in the list, then it's ID# will show next to UNIFORM ID, and it's order of appearance in-game, will show next to ORDER.
IMPORTANT:
The ORDER numbers are ALWAYS HOME-0, AWAY-1, ALTERNATE-2, ALTERNATE-3, etc, etc.
In-game Alternate #1 is ORDER #2, Alternate #2 is ORDER #3 etc, etc...
Additionally, UNIFORM ID#'s are the numbers within the UNIFORMS.dat file that is linked to your roster.
The UNIFORM ID#'s ALWAYS appear with ZERO-BASED ARRAYS ON

- To Install a modified #12 file into DB_TEMPLATES.dat -
--Occasionally, I will include a #12-DB_TEMP file with a uniform. Within this #12 file, is the UNIF table, which contains settings for every uniform ID# located in the particular UNIFORMS.dat. These settings include the placement and size of shoulder numbers, the placement of numbers on the helmet, and the placement of chest patches, shoulder and hip decals, etc. This will be the only DB file that I will provide on this thread. This file will not alter your roster, or franchise in any way--
1) Open your DB_TEMPLATES.dat with DAT FILE REPLACER - DFR, for short
2) ZERO-BASED ARRAYS OFF
3) Select the #12 DB file you wish to import
4) Select line #12
5) Click REPLACE SELECTED FILES WITH REPLACEMENT FILE
6) Save - tig ol' bitties
