Re: Q's UNDERSHIRTS in DAT(update 02.12.2016)

I've got an idea of how you can free up some slots.

The TC Elbowband should either be a black undershirt or team color undershirt, because there's only certain amount teams who wear black undershirts and team color undershirts. the white undershirt needs to go somewhere else, but I don't know where...

You can move the forearm band to the QB wrist. The Rubber Pad and QB wrist share the same texture.

The TC wristband should ONLY be black. I don't know any teams (except maybe the Steelers) that wear a TC Wristband. In the BK wristband spot you can put a black QB wristband.

Also, I hate to say it, but you need to consider inlcuding Texmod into this. In Texmod, you make a tattoo as big as you want. So maybe, you could have a special type of player wear a tattoo that make the one-arm sleeve black. Or maybe put WT and BK wristbands as tattoos.

I also have another way you can move things around:
Spoiler:
Wrist:
QB Wristband (WT QB Wristband)
WT wristband (as is)
BK wristband (as is)
TC Wristband (BK QB wirstband)
WT dbl wristband (bottom part of WT full arm sleeve)
BK dbl wristband (bottom part of BK full arm sleeve)
TC dbl wristband (BK forearm band or bottom part of TC full arm sleeve)

Elbow:
Turf Tape (WT undershirt)
Rubber Pad (WT forearm band)
WT elbowband (top part of WT full arm sleeve)
BK elbowband (top part of BK full arm sleeve)
TC elbowband (TC/BK undershirt or top part of TC full arm sleeve)

Your suggestions are very similar to what I set out to accomplish. The versions I have released are not what I envisioned when I started. The things you mention just can't be done. You are simply not allowed to edit the white, black, and tc separately. In fact, one can not even edit the tc anything. It gets "created" by how your color tables for the white and black are set up while in photoshop. And even then, you have to hex edit to get the tc to show up in-game. Sometimes that doesn't work at all, though. Atleast, that's what I've come to know, as of right now. That is precisely why the tc elbow band cannot be made black or white on it's own while editing PLADATA in DEX. One can, however, do that very thing for each individual uniform by editing Palette #25.bmp with the "replace with solid color" option in JD HALFRACK's MUER. You can make it any color you desire.
PLADATA shares palettes all over the place. The white, black, and tc single wristband share the same 3D model as the turf tape. So, anything below the center of the forearm is the wrist band and has to be exactly the same size, either white or black, with similar, if not identical color tables in photoshop. Aything above has to be black or white, and only shows up when turf tape is selected. If you try to make it another color, it simply will not show up in-game. And editing this palette directly effects the color of all four elbow pads and vise versa. That's why they look the way they do in my files.
Same goes with the QB wrist and rubber pad, same 3D model and palette. The QB wrist is everything below the center of the forearm and the rubber pad is above the center of the forearm, black or white, no colors accepted. Maybe grays, maybe not.
I don't like using tattoos because in-game they disappear when the camera pans out. Makes a ''blinking'' effect at times. Just look at mee's one arm sleeve. That is the largest sleeve that can be made by altering a band tattoo. Editing the patches result in literally a patch of color on the side of a player's bicep.
I am always open to suggestion and learning new ways of doing things. And I appreciate the fact you've taken an interest in my project, however, I have tried these particular suggestions already, and what I posted is the best I can do, for now. If you believe what I have stated is incorrect, prove me wrong. The tools I used are STINGRAY's DATExpander, photoshop cs2 with nvidia dds plugs, and a hex editor. If you would like to try, I would be happy to walk you through the steps to get you started. I give you my word.
One thing we have to remember is these modifications were not intended to be there by the original creators. While we can alter the .dat's, we can't exactly get in there and do what ever we want.....yet, maybe never.
Lastly, I agree with you 100%, at this point and possibly always, with texmod you can achieve far more desirable effects. But, the reason I am trying this is so I don't have to use texmod. Nothing personal, just not my cup of tea and I want an alternative.

Q's EQUIPMENT(update02.20.2016)

Postby 1312qohelet » Sun Feb 21, 2016 6:02 am

* Q's EQUIPMENT VERSION 2 - UPDATED 2.20.2016 - TOP OF THE THREAD - 3rd POST *

Hello, again. The download for my latest DAT equipment update is located at the top of the thread, on the 3rd post. There, you will find screenshots and a list of what's included, along with revised installation instructions.

Some things stayed the same, a couple rearrangements, and a few new things. Scroll back up there and check it out, if you feel like it.
Most likely my final version and I think I saved the best for last. It's my favorite set, anyways...hope you folks like it..

In this thread, my other equipment files are also available for download

UNDERSHIRT SET can be found up on the 2nd POST, as well as images and details.

The 1st POST is where the details and DOWNLOADS are located for VERSIONS 1.2 and 1.3.

They're all unique in their own way, created from my desire for variety, and as an alternative to texmod. Obviously, texmod is superior graphically and has more options during creation.
I think my files can have certain advantages over texmod. I also belive they stand up pretty well against texmod visually.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do

I am just gonna say what I did with the palettes in the uniform as I am lovin the results....
DEX(MUER)
File 1(11): Secondary color(pure)
File 2(12): Primary color(pure)
File 15(25): Primary color(pure)
The result is:
Elbow Pad White=Primary TC top sleeve
Elbow Pad Black=Secondary TC top sleeve
TC DBL wrist=Primary TC bottom sleeve
TC wrist=Secondary TC bottom sleeve
The only casualty was the TC undershirt.

TEAMS THIS WORKS FOR ALONG WITH MY SUGGESTED COLORS: (primary,secondary) italics are "iffy"s
NFC
Giants- Blue,Red
Redskins- Red,Yellow
Bucs- Red,Grey
Packers- Green,Yellow
Bears- Blue, Orange
Lions- Blue,Grey
Vikings- Purple, Yellow
49ers- Red,Gold
Seahawks- Blue,Green
Rams- Blue,Yellow(on color Rush reverse)
Cardinals- Red, Yellow
AFC
Bills- Blue,Red(on color Rush reverse)
Dolphins- Blue/Green, Orange
Pats- Blue,Red
Broncos- Orange,Blue(on alt reverse)
Chargers- Dark Blue, Light Blue(on alt reverse)
Chiefs- Red, Yellow
Browns- Brown,Orange(on alt(orange tops) reverse)
Jags- Teal,Gold(or reverse: Gold,Teal)
Texans- Blue,Red(on alt reverse)
Titans- Dark Blue, Light Blue(on Light Blue uniform reverse)

For the other teams-only replace 1(11):
Cowboys-Blue
Eagles-Green
Panthers-Blue
Saints-Gold
Falcons-Red
Jets-Green
Raiders-Silver?
Steelers- Yellow
Bengals- Orange
Ravens- Purple
Colts-Blue
So the Giants traded Beckham....

Oh, hell yeah....that's pretty much exactly what I have been doing, also. Because this way, you can pick-and-choose, and teams can have their own unique equipment sets....good stuff bro.....

Thanks for the post

Just to expand a little on your ideas, I happen to have the RGB color formulas for a handful of teams.
This will help anyone who doesn't have photoshop, but would like to try mee's ideas.

You can achieve the results as mee described by selecting the "REPLACE WITH SOLID COLOR" option in MUER.
Click the little color box to bring up the color table, then click the "DEFINE CUSTOM COLOR" button to enter the custom color slector.
There, you can enter the RGB numbers to get an exact match of your team's color, or pretty darn close.

Here are the RGB's for teams that I know:

Bears = navy - R.21 G.25 B.39, orange - R.254 G.52 B.0
Broncos = blue - R.0 G.32 B.65, orange - R.219 G.69 B.17
Browns = orange - R.255 G.55 B.0, brown - R.46 G.37 B.30
Cardinals = red - R.124 G.21 B.21
Chiefs = red - R.166 G.0 B.14, yellow - R.232 G.165 B.16
Falcons = red - R.204 G.0 B.0
49ers = tan/gold - R.169 G.144 B.87, red - R.139 G.18 B.18
Giants = blue - R.35 G.45 B.104, red - R.116 G.7 B.7
Jets = green - R.18 G.57 B.33
Lions = blue - R.29 G.76 B.130
Packers = yellow - R.250 G.178 B.18, green - R.21 G.42 B.35
Panthers = Carolina Blue - R.1 G.124 B.201
Patriots = blue - R.10 G.25 B.53, red - R.168 G.0 B.0
Raiders = silver - R.173 G.176 B.177
Seahawks = deep blue - R.22 G.30 B.50, neon green - R.96 G.152 B.25
Vikings = purple - R.35 G.28 B.92

note: These colors were matched to the above team's Home/Away uniforms that are included in the FF/FI XV Mod.
I will be updating this with more color info as I gather it.
If anyone else knows some of these RGB formulas for any team/any uniform, please post your info

Exactly where on the uniform do you get these RGBs from?

To get the TC pad to be the modded string: (I use DEX,HxD,PS CS2, DDS PLUGIN)-links can be provided.
1)Export palette number 2 in DEX(it starts from 0)
2)Open the dds in PS
3)Open the color table
4)Make it all the secondary color
5)Save the dds as "Team Name Secondary"
6)Go back to the color table
7)Make it all the primary color
8)Save dds as "Team Name Primary"
9)Go back to the color table make the first color pink(255,0,255)
10)Color the canvas pink
11)Save dds as "Team Name Elbow Pre-Hex"
12)Open dds in hex edtior
13)Goto the first color(FF,00,FF)
14) Change the line: FF 00 FF FF to FF 00 FF 00
15) Save as "Team Name Elbow Hex"

Now open the uniform in DEX
1)In Palette 1 import "Team Name Primary"
2)In palette 2 import "Team Name Elbow Hex"
3)In palette 15 import "Team Name Secondary"

Sample Giants Home Uniform: The file is 167 in UNIFORMS.dat with Zero-Based Unchecked.

Can you do something similar for the gloves(step by step)?

I don't get them from the uniform per-se...
I get them when I make a change to a palette in photoshop. I use the "eye-dropper" to pick up a specific color then click on that color and the photoshop color wheel pops up on screen with the RGB numbers and hex address. I just happen to have those uniforms RGB numbers written down from a past project.

Can you do something similar for the gloves(step by step)?

Do you mean the "replace with solid color" in MUER? Yes, you can, but you lose details of the gloves and they become one solid color. Doesn't look good, it just looks like a hand that was dipped in paint.

But you can extract the glove palettes with MUER and edit them in photoshop just like you can with shoes. I do that all the time.
#14 is TC GLOVE and #15 is TC RB GLOVE. In DEX - 4 is TC GLOVE and 5 is TC RB GLOVE.

I have always used MUER to extract palettes from uni's and edit them in photoshop. I haven't ever tried DEX for that particular task

What version of MUER do you use?
What in the palette corespondents to what(which lines)?
The only reason I use DEX is the "4-bit" issue. I assume you know what that is?

Yes I have never been able to edit 4-bit palettes in MUER. And I just Use whichever one is in MADMODX.
I wasn't aware it was possible to edit 4-bit palettes in DEX. I asked elguapo and he said "they are untouchable".
So I dunno.....
If you say they can be edited in dex then I have some uniforms with 4-bit shoe palettes that I would like to re-color. I will definately check that out

I don't know the detailed breakdown of the color table for the glove palettes, but you can just look at the glove you want to edit and just change the colors in the table accordingly.

I keep it simple, like say you want to edit a glove that blue with black symbols and details. And you want it to be white with blue details.
Open the color table in Ps an make the blue lines white and the black lines blue.

I know that kind of primitive, but it works for me
