You've never had to sign a free agent mid-season before? Usually that's very frequent, with injuries being commonplace. Unless your injury sliders are low or you've been very lucky, that is.

No, it's like I just need some little help that's all.
But I don't see any free agent.

Are you absolutely certain you followed my instructions correctly? The free agent team should always be visible through Team Management during the preseason, regular season, and postseason.

Yeah but no data.

That's strange. Send me your franchise file. Zip it up and PM it to me.

I've updated this guide to include the new rules for the 2020 (and 2022) seasons.

1. Active roster size is increased from 53 players to 55 players.
2. Practice squad size is increased from 10 players to 12 players, and increases again to 14 after 2021.
3. The number of IR players eligible to return has been increased from two to three.

New to using Madden 08, so please forgive what could be a dumb question. Is there anyway to replace all the NFL teams in Franchise Mode with all custom teams? This could be done in older versions of Madden (like 04). I see that you can create a team, just don't see a way to utilize those teams in Franchise mode. Thanks for your help.

This isn't really the thread in which to ask this question. Anyway, I know it should be possible using external utilities, but I don't know which utilities and I don't know how to do it. Sorry I can't help you. Maybe try searching in the FAQs, General Discussion, or Utilities subforums?
