Vernon Adams is starting tonight against the Edmonton Eskimos, but the team said Manziel should take a few snaps throughout the game. Not sure what they have in mind.

For anyone who cares, Manziel got a start a few weeks ago and threw 4 interceptions. Then his next start was a lot better: nothing stellar, but not awful. Then he got injured and he is returning tonight against the BC Lions, though he is listed as a 3rd-stringer (Antonio Pipkin gets the start).

I expect the Als to try starting him again eventually, or else they will have given all those assets for nothing.

If anyone cares, Johnny Manziel is out of the CFL. He apparently breached a condition that he was given prior to his arrival. The word on the street is that he negociated with another league while being employed by the CFL. Here is a summary of his short but tumultuous stay north of the border.

CFL.ca also has an article where our idiotic GM says it was an educated risk. Two first-rounders and two proven players is a bit pricey for a risk, I think.
