Chris Milo makes history with a 108 Yard Punt

Postby BelieverInTeal » Tue Nov 01, 2011 4:46 pm

Saskatchewan kicker Chris Milo tied the record for the longest punt in CFL history with this 108 yard punt that rolled through Hamilton's end-zone, all the way to Manitoba, for a single point.

Only in Canada :D

I wish I could play in the CFL. Looks more fun than the NFL. Probably less stress too because its on a smaller scale. Yeah you'd get pay less. But I rather have that salary then what I got now.

So...on Sunday for the final game of the year, the two best teams in the league face off in the 99th Grey Cup. The West Divison winners, B.C. Lions take on the East Division winners, Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Should be a dandy. Live stream on cfl.ca starting at 6:30 pm Sunday.

Joe Kapp vs. Angelo Mosca Fight

Postby BelieverInTeal » Sat Dec 03, 2011 12:54 pm

This is the clip that's gone viral, been on sportscentre, been on ESPN's Sunday Night Countdown and been joked about by Stuart Scott and co during the pre-game of the Monday Night game. The background story is that in the 1963 Grey Cup, Angelo Mosca (the man with the cane) of the Hamilton Tiger Cats threw a supposed late hit on BC Lions RB, Willie Fleming. No flags were thrown on the play, but BC thought it was a late hit and were pissed off about it.

Fast forward 48 years later and Joe Kapp (the man who threw the right hook), who was BC's QB during that game was on stage here at a luncheon during the 2011 Grey Cup. Mosca was also invited and the benefits from the luncheon were ironically supposed to go towards former CFL players who are still suffering from post concussion syndrome. Make of it what you will, but please do not make any rude or disrespectful comments.

I ain't know the UFC came to canada. aha. For real though These guys are too old for this. They should not be fighting at their age because they should be more mature than that, and they could give themselves a heart attack. Real talk not being sarcastic.

I love a good fight. But these guys are too old for that.

Well it's been 48 years. Kapp should've let it go IMO.
