I'm just glad Alabama and the SEC didn't win another championship.
What an amazing game though... definitely worth staying up to watch it.

Congratulations Clemson players and coaches and fans.
That was a great game. I wish more college football games were that close.

Boring...
Same two teams from last year.
College Football is a monopoly.

There is no way anyone can say the game last night was boring. That was the most exiting national championship game ever. If you didn't watch it, you need to read this.
There is more talent in the NFL, and yes, college football is a monopoly, but there's no way anyone can say last night's game was boring.

Ever heard of 4th and 5? Look it up, or better yet watch the game.
Oh and we can't forget Miami vs OSU in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl/National Championship.
I do agree with elguapo, it was disappointing that the same 2 teams played the very next year. However i personally enjoyed the game none the less.
God bless america!

Hate to see somebody get injured but Bo Scarbrough breaking his leg was the great equalizer. Hurts had a great season but he's still a true freshman after all and he couldn't throw the deep ball. With Scarbrough out, Bama couldn't control the game and which forced Hurts to have to make plays. At that point, you'd have to give the slight advantage to Clemson to win because their QB is a junior and that's exactly what happened.
Say what you want about the same teams more or less contending every year (and it's not perfect) but I like that a hell of a lot better than every team having a chance to win every year. Dynasties breed excellence. Parity breeds mediocrity.

probably the next few years Alabama will compete for the Playoff
Jalen could be there for a couple more years... Tua is a great prospect with same style in this new class
Clemson, I believe, will be a year off..
next year maybe Michigan could get in...
and about the monopoly stuff... the big gets bigger..
