Gronk has officially retired from pro football.

I will say that Gronk was a extremely good TE.. but he is not in the class of a Tony Gonzales, Shannon Sharpe, John Mackey or a Mike Ditka those guys were legends. I give Gronk, that he was a TE that you had to game plan for. He is a top 15 TE of all time.

Again... you're forgetting someone. Someone I'd put higher than Ditka, Mackey, and possibly even Sharpe. Someone who just came out of retirement.

Let's not put anyone above John Mackey, actually. Wasn't he really "the first Tight End legend "?
