Not taking anything away from Emmitt Smith but Moose was instrumental in his all time rushing yards. Also he had a big offensive line that helped.

Larry Allen is arguably the best G of all-time

Erik Williams was well on his way to being a HOFr before his lifestyle caught up to him

Nate Newton was an All-Pro caliber guy, Stepnowksi also before he left

Jay Novacek was like having an extra lineman. I wouldn't be surprised if the Seniors Commitee puts him in the HOF someday.

That was a run first (second.. and third) team. Outside of Shanahan/Alex Gibbs/Denver, nobody in my lifetime comes close to this crew.

.. take a look at Aikmans numbers. He would have absolutely no chance at the HOF today. Thats how dominant their running game was.

Aikman was similar to quite a few QB's then if you go by passing percentage. Actually his accuracy was better than Elway's. Elway's overall pass percentage was 56.9% to Aikman's 61%. Favre who has the dubious record of most Interceptions in history had a better percentage than Elway. Larry Allen was the strongest guard in the NFL but not sure he was the best. John Hannah would rank up there at left guard too.
