First Qb to 4 Super Bowls, called ALL his own plays with no help from a little green dot on his helmet, 4-0 in Super Bowls, was not protected by the in the grasp rule and lead the Team of the Decade Dynasty.....

Yeah... no. Great leader? Yes. Great passer? Absolutely not.

I'll be the outlier in this case and I'll say Peyton Manning. The one QB that made bad teams (specifically, bad Colts teams) reach the playoff so many times, only to watch those teams crumble around him in the PO, taking him out with them (Yes, he got carried there in 2015. And at least another passer always had luck and a D to fall back on). THE comeback master. To me the most dominant QB (QB! Not team) of the 00's, and the team he was in was the only team this side of Baltimore that could matchup against the Patriots, be it with the Colts or the Broncos.

Why is there only ONE quarterback on this list who did not play in the last 20 years, and 4 of the 9 are current players? A case of presentist bias here, I think. Especially since more than a decade ago, we didn't have all the pass-friendly rules, pass interference was much more lenient, defensive players could get away with a lot more. And the NFL used to be much more run-heavy. So all things equal I would rank less-recent quarterbacks higher. But we always tend to believe the people we watch play right now are the best.

Out of all these QB listed in the quiz ..ONLY ONE called his own plays.......Bart Starr all the rest have a OC in their helmets.
