American Football - Power Rankings and Predictions

Intro:
Back in the mid 90's I wrote a small program called "American Football". It was a stat based program that would give a Power Ranking system to the NFL, sorta like how they did it for college. The rankings are based purely on simple game stats.

I will try to post next weeks predictions by friday. These predictions will be based on the same algorithm as the code I wrote for "American Football".

Can you remember your success rates for predictions?

I think it was about 65%, the stats side of it. Then you can adjust it yourself with current factors like if a star player is out for a game, weather conditions and stuff like that.

Week 2 predictions are up with scores having a three point field advantage.

65% is pretty darn good

that's very cool, man. it would be neat to use a formula like that to do a power rankings on the teams in my franchise.

Thanks. I finally got a hold of the OMTU program and I remember seeing an option to extract the game logs for each week. if that is possible then creating a Power Ranking system for a franchise could be possible with the extracted data for each week.
