That was absolutely amazing. I would have been excited if Dallas drafted a cactus with that pick.

That was pure awesome. What a legend.

Here's Jerry Jones's reaction:

Trolling = sad

NFL Legend trolling = pathetic

This is where the Draft is heading though. Put it in primetime and you have to be entertaining, and memorable... like it or not, that was both.

Says the Cowboys fan! ;)

.. I'm not a fan of the way sports is covered now. Too much "shock and awe". Keep the TMZ. I just want sports. Glad the approach is backfiring on them (ESPN)

There is a certain level of amusement with this, sure. And I recognize it for what it is. I have no doubt Goodel told him to ham it up. If this were just ESPN, fine. They're bottom feeders, let them bleed their turnip. This was on NFL Net too. I expect a little more from them. They had never stooped to this low before now.

... and if this wasn't SO painfully transparent, I wouldn't say a thing about it.

Well, Pearson's story basically is (paraphrasing), "I thought about riling the fans up, and I asked Goodel if it's okay. Goodel said 'Go for it! Make it loud.'"

Though he called him a troll, he also gave him a compliment, in essence.
