The one thing in Glennon's contract is that the Bears can terminate after one year in a clause in that contract..so if Trubisky can become the starter mid way through the season. The Bears can terminate Glennon's contract and have to be responsible for only the Signing Bonus or Guaranteed Money.

$4.5M in dead cap to cut him after year 1.

If he is indeed out for all of 2017-18 then his contract resumes (4th year) in 2018-19.

If he is cleared for play/practice before week 10 but doesn't come off the PUP/reserve... It will be a well-covered news piece.
