Interesting chatter about Ben Roethlisberger potentially retiring. Probably just residual disappointment after the loss to New England.
But, question for the boards;
If he was to retire, TODAY, (not next year, not in 2019, today) is he a Hall of Famer?

Is Big Ben a HOFr?

He won two Super Bowls and that is the only stat that really matters. Yes! he will make it into the Hall of Fame.

So you'll say Eli Manning is a shoe-in right now? I'm a Giants fan and even I think Eli still has what to prove..
So the Giants traded Beckham....

The Steelers won IN SPITE of him. That was the pretty much the worst performance by a QB in Super Bowl history;

I'm not a believer in that.
The HOF is to honor individual accomplishment(s)
Super Bowls/Titles are a team accomplishment.

Re: Is Big Ben a HOFr?
The other problem is this;
So Roethlisberger gets in (and I believe he will.. but after playing a few more years)
His numbers are;
64.1 comp% 46,814 passing yards 301 tds 160 ints 94.1 passer rating
Here are the numbers of a few other QBs (that shall remain nameless for the moment)
62.5% 44,269 yards 285 tds 180 ints 88.0 rating
65.5% 32,344 yards 208 tds 128 ints 93.7 rating
64.4% 45,833 yards 314 tds 156 ints 94.7 rating
59.7% 48,214 yards 320 tds 215 ints 83.7 rating
Which of those players are in, 1-2-3-4, provided Rothlisberger were to get in *today*?

Of course he's going to the Hall of Fame.
90+ quarterback rating, only 2 seasons below 90 I believe
2x Super Bowl win
3X AFC Conference championship winner
Franchise records
He's a shoe in for when he gets called, same with Eli Manning.
2004 was a great class, may produce one of the heaviest HOF draft ever

Yes! Eli is a Hall of Famer, too. Both Ben and Eli won multiple Super Bowls which makes them Hall of Fame Quarterbacks. That is the only goal of every football player, to win a championship. That is what they play the game for, to win.
Yes, it is a team game, and the Quarterback is a very, very important part of making that team win.
"The Snake" Ken Stabler is a great example. Took him a long time to make it in the hall, but with more career interceptions than touchdown passes, his Super Bowl triumph got him in the hall.
....but why is Jim Plunkett not in the Hall of Fame, I ask?
