More to the point, politics doesn't and shouldn't have any influence in sports opinions. When someone is clearly a reactionary who seeks to make headlines with absurd statements (see "cornball brother"), it's pretty easy to understand why people don't enjoy his show.
Conservative thinking is not always affiliated with politics. A conservative thinker will have conservative views on many aspects of life, not just politics.
Also, I enjoy watching the guy. I usually agree with his views, and it's obvious when you watch him that he's not just stating his opinion, but he's very passionate about it as well. eg. his view on KD signing with the Warriors.
