1500 ESPN hasn't reported on this, and I don't exactly trust NFL.com, but I'll buy it.

But there's one problem.... Joe Webb can't catch a football.

There is 0.0001% he will make the team. He can't catch anything! His speed is OK, but when he played WR (2 years ago) he was downright horrible and is as good at QB than at WR.

I think he'd make a good wildcat QB, if a good offense coordinator (Mike McCoy) could a build an offense around him.

EDIT: The Vikings depth chart is now Ponder/Cassel/Bethel-Thompson. There will be NO competition for the starting job. And McLeod gets to make the team!

Because he can run. But our coordinator Bill Musgrave used the SAME gameplan for Ponder with Webb, and no surprise, failed miserably.

Recall the 2010 game with Webb VS the Eagles? He owned them. That's why he's still on the team.

He does have some speed but that was pretty much the only thing he had against the packers in the wild card game. If the vikes decided to just run read options, screens and short passes, and handing the ball to Adrian Peterson, they could've won the game... Or at least it woulda been close. And had the Vikes lost, the Packers would've, could've, might've prepared better the following week against Mr. I'm gonna run all over you Kaepernick.

Keeping Webb and creating some wildcat option packages just for him?.. Hmm. Didnt you hear? D-coodinators are gonna work hard this offseason and find a stop to it once and for all.
