That is true, but most likely, he'll be cut before week 1.

I doubt that. He'll likely be a "veteran backup presence."

I disagree.
Look what happened in Denver, last season. He got beat out by a rookie and a second-year player.
You know this first hand; the only reason he was even on the Cowboys, is Tony Romo and Kellen Moore were injured.
Plus, history shows that this time of year, teams stack their depth charts.
Of course, all of this is speculative....only time will tell.

I honestly hope you're right.
I want every player, who comes to Chicago, to excel.
Given their QB history however, I think you can understand my pessimism.

Yes,.. Glennon is the starter...
and IMO is that bad... what all of you expect? win the 3rd pick the Bears selected Trubisky or Watson?
with almost any weapon to work? as bad like the secondary?

i don't know.. but a trade down in the first round could be good for the Bears...
this draft class have a lot of talent in the defensive side of the ball....

I'm sure he knows Glennon is the #1, right now.
Nobody expects Sanchez to come in and take the starting job.
If that happens, then the Osos are up crapper creek.

Conversely, would he be any worse than Cutler? Ehh....
I'd rather have Sanchez on the roster right now, than RG3....or Osweillier, for that matter.

I just don't understand the train of thought.
If they kept Hoyer and Barkeley, they'd be in the same spot. Glennon and Sanchez aren't a step forward.

Yes... and Hoyer have at least "good" moments in the last season... when replacing Cutler

Chip Kelly had an awful lot of success in 2013 and 2014 with Foles and Sanchez. He had no business playing GM/Coach, and imo has no business being a head coach anytime soon, but the Bears should absolutely hire him as either QB Coach or Assistant Coordinator or even as a coaching consultant. He's not that far removed from back to back 10 win seasons and had an offense that was top 10 in both passing and rushing. And he did it with Nick Foles and Mr Butt Fumble.

Why Chip turned down the OC job at Alabama has me scratching my head, but I bet he'd take an assistant job to stay in the NFL. If I were the Bears I'd at least give it some thought.
My M08 mod work is all open-source to anyone who wants to use it in any way, no restrictions or permissions necessary.
