Well, he has a good shot at making the team....but I still would much rather have Jason Campbell over Josh McCown and Matt Blanchard.

I would much rather have Josh McCown and Matt Blanchard over Tebow. Seriously having a game of -1 Yards in 7 attempts it's just unacceptable in the pros, even if it's preseason, I just can't see him playing this season or many others for that matter.., at least not in the QB position.
I hope the Pats cut him so we can use the roster spot on someone who really deserves it, I'm sorry for him, he looks to be a great guy and he put effort, but in the pros.., that's just not enough, I wish him luck but I wouldn't like the Pats waste a roster spot on him through the regular season

When did Tebow come into this conversation?
Josh McCown might be around the level Tebow is on... but Blanchard has never played a game. You can't possibly play Blanchard over Tebow.

Well, we were talking about backup QBs, sorry if I didn't stick to just Edwards, I think I'd get lost on his impressive résumé of success as a backup :P
And yes, I actually believe that Blanchard plays better than Tebow without having seen anything from him, I just don't see how he does worse than a 1 in 7 for -1 yard gain. Sorry

I really thought Edwards was going to be a solid pro. Thought he could be a Matt Hasselbeck type.

I often wonder what the problem is with QBs these days. This is the thinnest the QB position has ever been IMO.

Win now mentality of organizations?
Poor coaching?
Revolving door of coaches?
Overly complicated schemes?
Gap between the mega stars and wannabe's is huge?

Shame more of the Edwards types don't have more success.

Yeah, look at the best FA QBs out there right now:
Charlie Batch, Byron Leftwich, Tyler Thigpen, Matt Lienart, Seneca Wallace...Jamarcus Russel?!?!?!
Then all the undrafted QBs. That is NOTHING. Yowsers.
