I sincerely hope you are right.
As bad as our QB situation is, I still don't want my Bears to sign him.
He will, most likely end up with a dysfunctional team. At least, for 2017....then, if he performs well enough, a playoff contender with a QB need, may take a look at him. But, I definitely don't see a team bringing him in to be "The Franchise" and building a squad for him.....not this year, anyway

last four weeks Kap play very well...
1000+ passing yards, 8/2 - TD/INT
and also run well...

The problem is the team around him...

Kaepernick got benched today for Gabbert... again. Kaep completed 1/5 passes for 4 yards and got sacked 5 times.

Looking at the box score, I can't tell why he was benched... and I'm pretty ticked off because I started him in a fantasy game today.

Yeah, I've already won by over double my dad's score and I have two players left to play. I'm only 7-6 though. I'll have to win next week, a team with a better record will have to lose, and I'll have to get REALLY lucky with tiebreakers to make the playoffs. It'll be difficult.
