Hello,
I have a computer with Windows 7. I put the DVD for Madden 07 in, went to the DVD drive and clicked on the madden_inst application. It asks me "Do you want to let this program make changes to your computer?" and I of course click yes. It then just does nothing. What could be the problem?
Madden 07 not working for PC
Re: Madden 07 not working for PC

Re: Madden 07 not working for PC
sounds like that was your firewall asking you.
ill just take a guess and say, restart your pc, disconnect internet connection, turn off firewall & antivirus program and then try to install madden.
then once you have it installed, restart pc, locate something like exclusions on both firewall & antivirus, and add the main madden application.
if that doesnt work, let us know and maybe someone else can help you.

Re: Madden 07 not working for PC
^Thanks for your help. I tried all that, and it worked. I uninstalled the program (b/c my boss was going to help me install a program on my comp) and now I'm trying to re-install it, and it does the same thing, even with the firewall and internet off, it doesn't work. -_-
What could be the problem?
Oh, and the error I get when trying to run the mainapp thing is "Insert the correct CD/DVD and try again" instead of something I'd expect like "such and such files appear to be missing. Try re-installing the program." Of course, the right disc is in there, and it recognizes what it is and displays all the files.

^When I try that it says "please insert the correct CD/DVD and try again." Of course, it recognizes all the files and stuff on the disc.
Re: Madden 07 not working for PC
I just returned from a friends place who has a Windows 7 laptop.
When I tried to run Madden 08 on it direct from DVD it complained about a missing dll (d3dsomething I think).
Could that be part of your problem with '07?
Also when I made a copy of my original,
that "please insert the correct CD/DVD" was the error that I encountered when trying to run from the copy.

^I do remember something like that, but after I turned off the firewall it stopped complaining about it.
Re: Madden 07 not working for PC
