No Draftable Players

Very confused.
I’m 2 years into a franchise that’s fun smoothly. I imported a custom draft class at the retirement stage, and went through the whole offseason up to the draft, only to find no players appearing on the draft screen.
The draft class is viewable in NZA, and in game in rookie workouts and the all star game, but not in the draft. I tried to just advance through the draft but it crashed the game.
Any ideas or am I screwed?
