It could be a DirectX problem because I also used to be able to run Fraps on my computer, but now when I try it says DirectX 9 is not loaded. My system has DirectX 11. Any ideas how to remedy that?

Thanks for all your help so far.

Try running the directx setup in the DVD folder. There is one particular dll file Madden needs to run and hopefully by running the directx setup from the DVD will solve your issue. If not I'll upload that specific file I have on the same folder as the mainapp.exe.

Thanks. I ran the DirectX setup from the DVD folder but still no luck...same error message appears.

The only other idea is putting these two DLLs in the same directory as the mainapp.exe. I have these two files on my copy, hope this helps as I'm out of ideas.

DLLs
d3dx9_30.dll
msvcr71.dll

MADDEN DLLs.7z
(984.88 KiB) Downloaded 108 times

Thanks, can you check that link. I can't open the file downloaded. I doesn't appear as a zip file.

Get 7-Zip. That'll decompress it.

Thanks everyone. It appears I was somehow missing one of the .dll files that elguapo provided and now I'm back in business! Great work!
