Help with Franchise File

Postby Shelby » Wed Oct 09, 2019 10:58 am

I have edited my roster file and then created a franchise file. When I opened the franchise file in Mad Wolf it indicates an error with a message of only "30% of the coaches loaded". Something caused a team to have zero Head Coaches and another team to have two Head Coaches so I fixed that and still have the same problem. I have a dummy team with ID of 0 (zero), but have no clue what to try next to resolve this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just in case someone can translate this here is what I am receiving when I try to load my franchise file in MadWolf:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

More than likely, you have a duplicate coach.

Please explain what I should be looking for in the roster or franchise file. You are correct, the franchise file was showing two Mike Holmgren as HC for one team and no HC for the other so I assigned one of the Mike Holmgren to be the HC of the team without a HC then changed his name. It still didn't work, but you might be on to something, any other ideas?

Thats your problem, you used the same coach for another team. You need to delete that duplicate coach.
You need to look at the coach table "COCH", make sure each team has 4 coaches, that they are in correct positions, each team needs coaches with fields 'COPS' 0-3 and that there are no teams using the same coaches that any other team already is using.
Not sure if whatever util you are using is considering a coach unique by name or by id # (ccid), but you need unique coaches.

I will look into this immediately. Just to clarify, I didn't create/assign any duplicate coaches. I created eight new teams for this roster file and after I saw the error on MadWolf I looked into the roster file and found the duplicate coach, the game did it but not sure why. I use NZA's Editor 1.3 for all of my player edits.

I've had similar problems with created teams and MadWolf. Duplicate coaches caused the same error for me. Somehow (I don't remember how since it was years ago) I managed to delete the duplicate coaches and got everything working again. But it definitely is caused by duplicate coaches.

Thanks! I agree it has something to do with duplicate coaches, but I don't believe there is a delete option like for players. I moved one HC to the team in need of a HC and that didn't work. I appreciate any suggestions though.
