This is a copy & paste direct quote from the MADDEN 2004 Command Reference.

NOTE: In this manual, the default controls are for a 10-Button gamepad
with dual analog sticks. For a different control device (e.g. keyboard or
keyboard-and-mouse combination), refer to the conversion table on p. 5
for the control equivalents.

The quote appears directly below a button detail picture of a Logitech Dual Action gamepad.
(photoshopped to remove the Logitech label)

IDK. I just found this in storage and tried it out. the Picture on the gameplay contoller looked the same so I assumed thats what Madden used.

It'll work with any controller. But the real controller Gravis Gamepad Pro.

A couple other controls are basically used for Madden '06 and up for PC.

Either Logitech Dual Gamepad.

Or SteelSeries Gamepad

Other people who use Game Console devices do that because it's cheaper. Because, PC controllers can be expensive.

Your premise was flat out wrong. 2004 required the DUAL ANALOG sticks to access everything.

I'll post better information for the forum in a while.
I'm still trying one last set of registry hacks before I post my controller research.

Gridiron, you need to take a Chill Pill. I may be wrong but you don't have to make a big deal out of it RevanFan, lock this forum so there will be no more arguing.
