No numbers?
Re: No numbers?
Has anyone come up with a fix (if there is one) for the no numbers issue other than getting a different video card?
Re: No numbers?
I'd like to know if there is a fix also. I'm trying to run on a Dell laptop with Intel HD chipset and getting the no numbers, no names, etc.

Re: No numbers?
I don't think there is a fix.
For me, the issue is dedicated graphic memory. My system has solid graphic memory, but only 64MB of which is dedicated. I assume that is my issue. I seem to recall the readme file says M2004 requires twice that amout (128MB.. it may have been 256MB).. I assume this is the problem many are running into, especailly those trying to run the game on laptops.
Ticks me off, beacuse my display will run full 720p, and 1080i, so I can't wrap my mind around my system not pushing a near-decade old game, but that's how it goes with CPU's.
.. even more baffling is that M2008 seems to have the same system requirements as M2004, yet I can run 2008 just fine.

Re: No numbers?
Thanks for the reply AaronS. Isn't there a way to "dedicate" more memory to the graphics?

Re: No numbers?
Perhaps, but I'm not sure how.
My laptop has the Intel Mobile Chipset, I have toyed with the interface, but I don't recall seeing an option for that.
(Prompted a Google search.... )

Re: No numbers?
I didn't find a fix for this.
.. well, kind of. I'm gonna either buy or build a CPU with at least a 1GB graphics card, but I made that decision long before I found out my laptop couldn't push M2004.

Yes, before you boot to Windows press whatever key the display tells you to in order to access the BIOS modification menus.
You should find an option there to allocate more VRAM.
Re: No numbers?
Anyone come up with a solution besides new video card or computer? I've got a Dell laptop with Intel HD graphics, it runs most other games just fine. Annoying that the numbers won't show up, any ideas?

Let's just all face it: Madden 2004 will not on these new PC's anymore.
