No numbers?

Postby wilbes16 » Fri Feb 24, 2012 1:54 am

I have the strangest thing going on. XP, Dell Latitude E5510 laptop, I've played this version on much older pc's. The game launches fine, player jersey numbers are all blank. Any thoughts?

More information. The game plays flawlessly. Stadium graphics and in game look fine. The only glitch is no names, no numbers, no ref numbers.

Definitely the video card. Same thing happened to me a long time ago.

Just ran into this problem... what a drag!!! I was really looking forward to going back to 2004.

.. I'm gonna try uninstalling just in case this is patch-related.

Anyone overcome this?

It's a video card issue.

From what I remember from a topic on FF, it was a problem with a particular Nvidia series. Unfortunately, I don't remember which, and more importantly, which does work.

How dumb.

This game is nearly 10 years old, my laptop was manufactured in 2007 and is capable of full 1080p resolution. Don't see why my video card should be the problem here.

I usually run my laptop to my tv thanks to HDMI, doubt that's gonna make a difference here though.

Stupid computers.

Would DirectX have anything to do with this??

I don't appear to have any version of DirectX installed presently.

I don't think so. I've got DirectX, and it still doesn't work. I'm fairly certain it's due to the graphics card itself.
