Running Madden 04 on Windows 10

Hi all. I'm trying to get Madden 04 to run on Windows 10. I downloaded the ISOs and installed it without a problem. I've tried running it in compatibility mode (XP SP2 and Win7), with admin permissions, window mode, and 256-color. I have applied the 4.0 patch and a no-CD file, no luck - didn't work before either, after either, or after both. Basically the launcher comes up, I click play, and then the windows adjust and then eventually goes back to the desktop. No error messages or anything. Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips for me? I know 08 works well but I really miss 04.

Otherwise I'll try to do XP on a virtual machine and run it that way but I feel like it'll be a headache getting my Dualshock 4 to work with it and VMs are a headache anyway.

Madden 04 plays just fine in my laptop with windows 10 home or something like that.

It has the latest updates from microsoft.

Not sure if this has anything to do with you situation, but I had 2 monitors and 04 would not run unless I unplugged 1 and went with one display.

You're best bet is finding a no-cd patch online. I'm not telling you where, you have to find it. Also, you have to set the compatibility to Windows XP.

Thanks all. I have a no CD patch and am using compatibility mode, still no luck. But I got it running well in a virtual machine
