Wild Card Game 4 Vikings @ Cowboys After punts both ways Prescott was picked off by Sendejo That would lead to a 33 yard TD pass to Treadwell point after is no good 13 yard TD pass to Murray and the vikings are taking quick control. Point after no good again.... The cowboys muff a punt return and give it right back to the Vikings.... After 1 Qtr of play 12-0 Vikings Forbath misses a 25 yard FG attempt Another pick by Sendejo which would lead to the 44 yard FG by Forbath 15-0 Vikings 75 yard pass to Butler 15-7 Baily kicks a 44 yarder to bring in 15-10 Vikings Bridgewater threw a pick 6 to Brown and the Cowboys take the lead. Point after is good 17-15 Cowboys. Vikings are starting to struggle after their fast start, and Prescott marshalls the Cowboys down the field to put them up by another 3 points with 0:03 left 1st half. DPI set up Forbath to try a 52 yard FG with 0:00 left in the half, he nailed it 20-18 Cowboys at half time Diggs fumbles the Cowboys punt and Dallas gets the ball back with great field position. However they
only tack on 3 23-18 Cowboys Punts fly thick and fast with Bridgewater ending up injured and out for the game with Bradford taking his place. They end the 3rd Qtr 23-18 Cowboys. Cowboys have had great pressure on the QB all game The punts continue with the horrible 3rd down completion % of both teams. Down to the 2 minute warning and still 23-18 Cowboys Baily kicked the 45 yard late game FG to put the Cowboys up by 8. The MVP With 0:53 left and 1 timeout, I really don't see Bradford pulling an A-Rod and getting the 2 pt conversion to OT. Bradford turned it over on downs and The Cowboys knelt out the remaining seconds Final Score 26-18 Cowboys Next on to Divisional Weekend. Some great matchups, 1st Steelers @ Patriots, then Dallas heads to chilly Lambeau Field. Then the Texans @ Raiders and finally Seahawk @ Falcons. Instead of Green Bay heading to Dallas it's reversed! The NFL awards will be coming up soon too!

Man I have been really neglecting to finish this... I have been experimenting with off-season procedures on a test file to actually have a multi year franchise for this one. Every other time I started one it always bogged down right after retirement stage. When 14 players of the roster retire and you only have 7 picks in the EA draft was particularly frustrating. I have the feeling I am getting quite close to getting things proper in my test files so I should be able to get this back in gear. Just an update for you guys, again I apologize for the long hiatus.

I understand completely! Life is full of little bumps. I've had massive medical issues and now my wife needs to have a procedure done. It may be a bit before I'm back as well.
Have you ever tried trading players at the end of preseason for draft choices next season? I play with a 90-man roster in preseason. You have to be careful because you can cheeze the CPU and have a ton of picks. Unfortunately that happened to me and before I realized it I had 20 more picks in the upcoming draft. Something came over me and I couldn't stop myself. Unrealistic but I will live with it for this next season. I used NZA 1.3 to move the draft choices to me because Madden gets capped at 10, I believe. I'll try to outline if you are interested in trying that. I know Revanfan has done this as well, so we can both be resources. I have a feeling that with Madden 19 coming out, a lot of time is going to be spent by the modders on that program. Time will tell.
Have you ever tried Madden Amp drafting? I find it a whole lot more realistic. There is a guide for how to do it and I made a video on it as well.

Edit: Are you having lots of issues with missed PATs and FGs? I bumped up the AWR of all kickers so that it isn't an issue anymore. I lowered AWR for FBs and TEs since they were all so good. I think someone else may recall better, but I think there was an issue with that. Don't know if it is a problem with the current default roster or not, but it was with the roster when I started my franchise.

I am sorry about the medical issues in your family currently, I wish you and yours the very best of luck through these difficult times. To answer your question and provide a few details. I was using a custom roster I had helped another FI member with, all the stats were 75's we did it as a test earlier in 2018 and it worked fairly well, I tweaked it more, and had the proper uniforms for the current season all the stadiums setup, and also fixed every free agent in it so it no longer crashed because they had contracts. None of the players were remotely similar to real life all the big NFL names didn't even exist in this one. I started it as the Dolphins, and played it and ended up with a #1 ranked defense for a change. My main problem was that most of my defensive players were in the upper 30's and injury prone, so I lost most of them to retirement as well as my FB, I 'll tell you that there were some low scoring games, which was interesting and it felt a bit more natural, rather then always putting up 30-40 points on the CPU every game. My kicker and punter were lost to free agency as well. I imported the real 2008 draft class, using the Madden roster editor, and I got some good picks in the Madden Draft. I ended up trading 2 of my aging injury prone players, for a kicker and punter which turned out quite well, my punter kicked two coffin corners the very first game of the next season. I improved my receiving corps for my less than stellar QBs by more trading and converting an extra corner I had to WR. I didn't use a 90 man preseason roster, but it is the first time I have gone more than one season in a franchise without crashing so it should be easier for the Packers franchise of mine!
