Historic Cowboys Tournament - Record-Based

We are finally here. The final game of round 1. Which team will advance to face #11 1978? Will it be #22 2009 (11-5, Divisional Round) or #43 1986 (7-9)? 1986 is notable for being the end of Tom Landry's streak of 20 consecutive winning seasons. A streak like that has not been seen since.

Hasn't been seen in football. The Yankees have an active streak of 21 winning seasons.

Another blowout. Shame.

Most of the games have been close. 1986 just had a really bad game. 2009 has to face a Super Bowl team next round. Should be more difficult for them.

Here we have the first game of Round 2. #33 2008 (9-7) takes on arguably the greatest team in Cowboys history, #1 1977 (12-2, Super Bowl Win). The winner of this game faces either 2014 or 1997 in Round 3.

This had to be a nailbiter. 2008 takes them the distance!

It was, but you never really lose faith in Roger's ability to pull it out right at the end. He did just that. Tony Romo and 2008 put up a really good fight, though.

As a Vikes fan, I remember those years. He did have that uncanny ability!!
