After more than 1 year away playing madden08 I decided to continue my Buccs/Moose franchise
I played a couple of training games, me and Toronto Moose (4-0) had then a easy start in week 5, season 2013 against division rival Atlanta Falcons (0-4)
Unfortunately my website is not working anymore, so here is the stats from that game
Next game is against division rival Saints (4-1), the game will be played in New Orleans (the game of the week)
More about that later!!

Toronto Moose: History update and season 2013, week 6-9
A lot had happend since I took over the worst team in NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a record of 1-15, and the following draft in 2008 was the foundation of the team which is now located in Canada
Round 1: QB Derrick Logan Overall no. 1
Round 2: LT Leonard Emanuel Overall no. 33
Round 3: LE Amos Colert Overall no. 65
Round 4: CB Deion Dorsey Overall no. 97
Round 5: FB Caz Kirby Overall no. 129
Round 7: P Daryl Smith Overall no. 193
QB Derrick Logan, which was drafted with overall rating (OVR) of 83, Arm Strength (THPC) 89, Throwing precision/accuary (THA) 82, Awereness (AWR) 71. The young man had a tough rookie start in the 2008 season behind a unstable OL and had some problems with his WR corps. But he managed to throw for 3787 yards and 30 TD, on the negative side he was intercepted 33 and sacked 41 times and ended with a QB rating of only 69. But that was enough to be named the offensive rookie of the year and helped Buccs win the division title and secured a playoff spot. Derrick Logan had some good progression after week 17, OVR 86 (+3), THA 84 (+2) and AWR 74 (+3).
In the 2009 season Buccs had a harder schedule and the opponents was now aware of Derrick Logan abilities and set the young man under more pressure + he didn't work good together with his OL. Derrick Logan managed again throwing more than 3500 yards with 19 TDs and only 9 interceptions, but was sacked 57 times, ended up with QB rating of 85.2. Buccs closed the season with 3 wins, but missed the playoffs with 11 wins and only a 3. place in their division. Derrick Logan had again some good progression after week 17, OVR 88 (+2), THA 86 (+2) and AWR 77 (+3).
In the following season Buccs ended up with the same record, but this time that was enough to win the division title, Buccs OL protected Derrick Logan better and he was only sacked 31 times. Derrick Logan was thowing for 3607 yards, 24 TDs and 13 Interceptions with a rating of 85.3 and he was selected for Pro Bowl for the first time. Derrick Logan had again some good progression after week 17, OVR 91 (+3), THA 88 (+2) and AWR 80 (+3). In the playoff Buccs went all the way and won the SUPER BOWL XLV against New England Patroits, Derrick Logan closed a great season and was named SUPER BOWL MVP
Buccs the defending SUPER BOWL champion and QB Derrick Logan had a very difficult time most of the 2011 season, they only got a third place in their division, But they just managed to get the last wild card spot with 9 wins and 7 losses. Derrick Logan had problems behind his OL and was sacked 51 times, he only throw for 3292 yards with 29 TDs and 29 interceptions and the rating was only 73.2. Derrick Logan progression after week 17 was OVR 92 (+1), THA 88 (+1) and AWR 80 (+1). In the playoff Buccs surprised everybody and again went all the way to the SUPER BOWL XLVI and beat for the second time New England Patroits, where Derrick Logan again played a great game throwing 14/24 for 252 yards with 2 TDs and zero interception with a rating of 122.2.
In the 2012 season it was announced that the franchise was moving to Canada in 2013, the owner(me) decided to release the following
players, which was all starters last season and from the orginal roster:
RT Jeremy Trueblood
FS Tanard Jackson
RG David Jospeph
MLB Barrett Ruud
WR Maurice Stovall
There was a lot of change to both Buccs defense and offense starting line up and that gave Derrick Logan a big problems, he never found at good rythme and he got sacked 46 times in the season, Derrick Logan throw for 3319 yards with 29 TDs and 29 ints and ended with a rating of only 71. Derrick Logan progression after week 17, OVR 93 (+1), THA 90 (+1) and AWR 82 (+2). The team managed to get 9 wins, which was just enough for a wild card spot, but the lost the wild card game to Packers.
The franchise went to their new headquarters in Toronto, Canada and became Toronto Moose, which was awaited with great expectation in the local community (Fan support 72%). Mooses owner have invested 300M in a new stadium (capacity 71,576), which gave a deficit of 221.7M for the year 2012, but the franchise had still a total profit of $77M
Moose's owner decided to release their franchise head coach to get a new begining and hired Jeff Fischer as their head coach, and they also signed a new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels
In the new season was a high expectation to Moose offense with LT Leonard Emanuel, QB Derrick Logan and WR Mark Clayton all key players (all have the role = STAR) with a more experienced offensive line and some very fast young WRs and HB Anthony Smith drafted number 2 overall in 2008, which was pick up as a Free agent, and had a solid season last year.
But also Moose defense was also looking very good with 5 players drafted in the first round in last 5 years,
2009: LOLB Brandon Perry had a very solid season last year, but we still awaits the big breakthrough
2010: CB Blake Wells 2-time selected for the Pro Bowl
2011: RE C.J. Connor selected for the Pro Bowl in his rookie season
2012: FS Ty Carpenter had a okay rookie season, but went out in the last part of the season with a injury
2013: CB Darius Brown this year first round pick
Together with the two defensive captains LE Amos Colert drafted in 2008 and select 4-times for the Pro Bowl and the solid DT Randy Starks also signed in 2008 + Patrick Ross Draft in the 4. round in 2010, which have secured the middle linebacker position.
Moose (5-0) went to New Orlearns in week 7, after a bye week, for there first real test against there division rival Saints (4-1), both defense started very good, but it was Moose which scored first with a drive over 7 plays,
where QB D. Logan scored a TD with a 5 yards run, which was the only score of the first quarter. Moose defense began to dominate more and more, and Moose QB Derrick took all the right decisions on offense, which resulted in a 17 - 0 lead after 2. quarter
with another TD run from Moose QB D. Logan and FG . In the second half Saints QB D. Brees need to make something happend, which resulted in 3 ints and when Moose offense played almost perfect against Saints D, where D. Logan passed for another two TDs, Moose won 34 - 7.
Here is stats for the game Moose @ Saints:
In week 8 Moose traveled to New York to play against Jets, Moose lost 35 - 29 (simulated) and in the following week Moose got a heavy beating against the defending champion Patiots in New England 37-0 (simulated)
Going into week 10 Moose and Saints was now tied in NFC South division with a record of 6-2, See the league standigngs below:
Moose QB Derrick Logan had played amazing the first 9 weeks, passing for 1415 yards, 15 passing TD, 2 Ints with a rating of 99.8 and in front for the MVP title.
Next game: Monday night game and game of the week Panthers (5-3) @ Moose (6-2)

Re: Toronto Moose: Back where it all started
Go Moose! Happy to see your franchise back!
In case you were wondering, I imported Derrick Logan into my franchise. He was a backup and then a starter for the Bears, and now he's a coach but I forget for which team. It's great to see him on the field!

Nice!!, Derrick Logan has developed into amazing player the last 6 years, both with his strong and precise arm and his quick feet, I allmost feel that I cannot make any mistake/turnovers with him.

Toronto Moose: Season 2013 week 10
Toronto Moose play home against one of their biggest rival Carolina Panthers.
Moose started with the ball , the gameplay was to avoid turnovers and run the ball as much possible, which resulted in FG
Panthers went 3 and out on their first drive and Moose scored again on their next drive, but was stopped only 2 yards from the Panthers endzone, but decided to take a short FG
Toronto Moose D could do anything right on the next drive and Panthers went in front with a TD with 5:35 left of 1. half.
But now Moose QB Derrick Logan was ready for the challenge and setup a nice drive over 11 plays, where he found WR Robinson in the endzone with 8 yard pass
In the 2. half Moose began to take more control over the game and Derrick Logan played almost perfect
Toronto Moose won 23 - 7

Re: Toronto Moose: Back where it all started
Go Moose! Good to see this journal getting going again. Check your website, I'm getting some funky things happening on it and no data.

Yes I know, unfortunately my website is not working anymore, because the pnp code using for Madcat is a old version and I will not have time to update my website, But I will still write here on this forum about Toronto Moose.

A little flashback
I found a youtube film, which probably was the wildest playoff game I have ever played in this Bears/Buccs/Moose franchise project, it was in the 2007 season with Chicago Bears, before I moved to Florida in 2008 and drafted QB Derrick Logan no 1 overall , in the division playoff vs Carolina Panthers, Bears was behind 21 - 38 going into the final quarter.

Haven't seen any updates in a while now. Are you going keep this Journal going?
