Season 142 recap
The Blizzard didn't falter this time, securing the 16-0 season.
Lewis White won MVP honors after beating Nate Clarke's TD pass record. His favorite target was Chris Turner, who caught 106 passes for 3522 yards and 46 TDs. Cobi Morrison also compiled good stats as a receiver and return specialist. And rookie Muhammad Kumerow had 1650 receiving yards and 21 TDs, as he continues to turn heads.
This was all done while maintaining a healthier running game. This aspect of the game still requires some tweaking to achieve better consistency, but it is very promising that a rookie could amass 1714 yards and 22 TDs.
Defensively, Lamar Hunt led the team in tackles as well as interceptions, breaking the 10-INT barrier for the first time after coming close a few times. But it is Pharoh Rankins who earned DPOY honors with his 50 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. Cameron Vigil also did well with 28 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions.

Playoffs recap
The Blizzard faced the rival Termites in the divisional round.
D.J. Fluker opened the score with a short run, but Saivion Witzmann tied the score with an 11-yard run.
Trying to retake the lead, Brian Thompson fumbled the ball, which was forced out by Cameron Vigil. Anchorage recovered.
Lewis White connected with Chris Turner in the endzone.
Cobi Morrison increased the lead with a 60-yard TD reception, and it would go downhill from there for the Termites.
The Apocalypse and RailRiders battled again in the divisional round. This time, the RailRiders emerged victorious 35-22. Ernie Swanson rushed for 151 yards and caught 2 TDs. Jake Abraham also caught 2 TDs, as Curt Santos threw for nearly 300 yards and 5 TDs.
This set up another battle between Anchorage and Birmingham.
Muhammad Kumerow opened the score with a catch in the endzone.
Lamar Hunt intercepted a deflected pass and his team went on offense again, finishing with a short TD pass to Manasseh Calhoun.
Pinned close to their own goal line, White was chased in the endzone but managed to find Calhoun again, for a 95-yard TD.
Chris Turner also scored a long TD as Jayson Shazier blocked/tackled the wrong receiver. This became a 99-yard TD.
Ernie Swanson tried to keep it close, as he scored twice, including this 80-yard run.
But it would not be enough, and the Blizzard would punch their tickets to the big game.
The Vortices did not have the most dominant season, finishing 10-6. In the wild card game, they came back from behind to beat the Phantoms 40-34 in overtime. Tee Wolford threw for 404 yards and 4 TDs, and Tavian Armstrong had 2 TDs. In Paris, Armstrong accounted for 244 yards and 2 TDs to help his team win 38-24 against the Iron. Then in the NFC championship against Winnipeg, Armstrong had 151 yards and 2 more TDs to help his team win 23-17.
In the Super Bowl game in Jacksonville, Isaiah Lamont opened the score for the Vortices with a catch in the endzone.
Cobi Morrison returned the ensuing kickoff on 105 yards to tie the score, then Stedman Brothers intercepted Tee Woolford and returned it on 13 yards for the score.
Morrison fielded the next punt and swiftly breezed to the left and then towards the endzone for an 82-yard TD.
Nate Tate caught a short pass and turned it into a 34-yard TD to make it 21-14. (And Anchorage's offense hadn't taken the field yet at this point).
Tavian Armstrong broke open and scored a 59-yard TD to make it 28-21 Anchorage after one quarter.
Anchorage looked like they would increase their lead, but a pass was deflected by Paul Adams and intercepted by Maxx Rivers. This led to a TD reception by Andre Pughsley.
Chris Turner scored his 2nd TD of the game with this acrobatic catch. It was 49-35 at the half.
The Blizzard continued trying to score. Kumerow made it 63-42 after staying in bounds to score this TD.
The Vortices would attempt a comeback in the 4th quarter but would fall short.

------------------------------------------------------------The Apocalypse and RailRiders battled again in the divisional round. This time, the RailRiders emerged victorious 35-22. Ernie Swanson rushed for 151 yards and caught 2 TDs. Jake Abraham also caught 2 TDs, as Curt Santos threw for nearly 300 yards and 5 TDs.
This set up another battle between Anchorage and Birmingham.
Muhammad Kumerow opened the score with a catch in the endzone.
Lamar Hunt intercepted a deflected pass and his team went on offense again, finishing with a short TD pass to Manasseh Calhoun.
Pinned close to their own goal line, White was chased in the endzone but managed to find Calhoun again, for a 95-yard TD.
Chris Turner also scored a long TD as Jayson Shazier blocked/tackled the wrong receiver. This became a 99-yard TD.
Ernie Swanson tried to keep it close, as he scored twice, including this 80-yard run.
But it would not be enough, and the Blizzard would punch their tickets to the big game.

In the wild card game, they came back from behind to beat the Phantoms 40-34 in overtime. Tee Wolford threw for 404 yards and 4 TDs, and Tavian Armstrong had 2 TDs. In Paris, Armstrong accounted for 244 yards and 2 TDs to help his team win 38-24 against the Iron. Then in the NFC championship against Winnipeg, Armstrong had 151 yards and 2 more TDs to help his team win 23-17.
In the Super Bowl game in Jacksonville, Isaiah Lamont opened the score for the Vortices with a catch in the endzone.
Cobi Morrison returned the ensuing kickoff on 105 yards to tie the score, then Stedman Brothers intercepted Tee Woolford and returned it on 13 yards for the score.
Morrison fielded the next punt and swiftly breezed to the left and then towards the endzone for an 82-yard TD.
Nate Tate caught a short pass and turned it into a 34-yard TD to make it 21-14. (And Anchorage's offense hadn't taken the field yet at this point).
Tavian Armstrong broke open and scored a 59-yard TD to make it 28-21 Anchorage after one quarter.
Anchorage looked like they would increase their lead, but a pass was deflected by Paul Adams and intercepted by Maxx Rivers. This led to a TD reception by Andre Pughsley.
Chris Turner scored his 2nd TD of the game with this acrobatic catch. It was 49-35 at the half.
The Blizzard continued trying to score. Kumerow made it 63-42 after staying in bounds to score this TD.
The Vortices would attempt a comeback in the 4th quarter but would fall short.
