Week 10 update
The Blizzard jumped to an 8-1 start, dropping a close game against the Snowcats. They are now hoping Winnipeg makes it to the SuperBowl game and that they can avenge a loss in which they were too aggressive: after seeing Jerome Whitfield score a 98-yard TD, they started 3 drives inside their own 5, and tried to hit a home run every time. And each of these times, they were sacked for the safety. Add a 4th safety on a punt return gone wrong, and it is not a recipe for a win.
The road ahead will not be easy, as Anchorage will face divisional rivals Portland twice. The Kingfish are the only remaining unbeaten team. Matchups against the Ironmen, the improved Bulls (who signed star WR/RS Jon Irwin last offseason) and the Phantoms have the potential to be riveting.
Nate Clarke is having another great season, but Lester Larson has been given some time as well. Dwayne Foster has had trouble establishing the running game.
The defense has not been quite as dominant as in some other years, but Kurt Shade has been shining in his new starting FS role: 51 tackles, 5 interceptions and a forced fumble, while also scoring 9 TDs on the other side of the ball.
Lester Walker is continuing his great work as a returner, with 12 TDs (7 kicks, 5 punts) in 9 games. He also has 18 offensive TDs (14 receptions, 2 runs, 2 passes).

QB Nate Clarke was rattled after the week 3 loss to Winnipeg, but Lester Larson filled in beautifully, and Clarke was even stronger when he returned. This allowed Brenden Bowens to have multiple TD receptions in every game, Anthony Hansen to score in every game (most of the time more than once) and Lester Walker to account for at least 2 TDs every game, usually more.
Kurt Shade was great on both sides of the ball, notching 12 interceptions and also catching 18 TD passes.
Defensively, pressure was better this year and it translated into turnovers.

Playoffs recap
The Kingfish and Blizzard were facing again in the divisional round. And Portland started strong when TE Harold Watson broke tackles to score a 61-yard TD.
Ike Roberts almost got to the quarterback, but Kelvin Hampton was able to connect with K.C. Hilliard, who turned the short pass into a 66-yard TD.
John Jackson forced a turnover, and then Lester Walker caught a 25-yard TD to keep his team in the game. In fact, he tremendously helped amid his team's slow start, as he also had two kickoff returns for touchdowns.
Brenden Bowens scored twice in the third quarter, including this 85-yard TD.
Ricky Cash forced a special teams fumble which was returned to the endzone by Walker.
At this point, the scales had tipped and the Blizzard was going to be victorious.
After a very close game in the regular season, Apocalypse and Blizzard were facing again in the AFC championship game. Chris Love opened the scoring for New York, but Anthony Hansen tied the game with a 14-yard reception.
Lester Devlin avoided tackles to score a 67-yard TD.
Nate Clarke thought he found Lester Walker for a long play, but Clay Kelly intercepted the pass and returned it for six points.
Brenden Bowens and Kurt Shade both caught passes in the endzone to stay in the game.
Chris McKinnie caught a pass in stride and broke tackles to score a touchdown.
Bowens beat Toby Lloyd to score a 66-yard TD.
Chris Love caught another TD, but it would be too little too late and the Blizzard would slip away with the victory.
Anchorage's players were ecstatic when they saw that the Snowcats escaped with the win against the Defenders in the NFC championship. Adam Spriggs had 2 short TD receptions and a 43-yard punt return TD to help his team advance. This meant that the Blizzard was going to be able to avenge their week 3 loss.
And they made sure to be able to do just that. Lester Walker opened the scoring with a 74-yard punt return TD.
Brenden Bowens caught a 36-yard TD, then Walker did it again with a 75-yard punt return TD. It was already 21-0 after one quarter.
Then he showed he could do it on offense as well, with an 18-yard TD reception, as well as this 82-yard TD.
Late in the game, Kurt Shade intercepted an overthrown ball to stop Winnipeg again.
This time, all phases of the game were going full throttle and Anchorage emerged with a resounding win.

------------------------------------------------------------Anchorage's players were ecstatic when they saw that the Snowcats escaped with the win against the Defenders in the NFC championship. Adam Spriggs had 2 short TD receptions and a 43-yard punt return TD to help his team advance. This meant that the Blizzard was going to be able to avenge their week 3 loss.
And they made sure to be able to do just that. Lester Walker opened the scoring with a 74-yard punt return TD.
Brenden Bowens caught a 36-yard TD, then Walker did it again with a 75-yard punt return TD. It was already 21-0 after one quarter.
Then he showed he could do it on offense as well, with an 18-yard TD reception, as well as this 82-yard TD.
Late in the game, Kurt Shade intercepted an overthrown ball to stop Winnipeg again.
This time, all phases of the game were going full throttle and Anchorage emerged with a resounding win.

Nate Clarke was rattled after the week 3 loss against Winnipeg, but Lester Larson filled in beautifully and Clarke returned even stronger. This allowed Brenden Bowens to score multiple touchdowns in every single game, Anthony Hansen to score in every game including 15 multi-TD games, and Lester Walker to account for multiple TDs in every single game. I forgot to add a column for Walker's fumble return TD in week 19, so he actually scored 68 times in 19 games.
